Introduction
Welcome to Feedme.recipes. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, and applications (collectively, the “Services”). Feedme.recipes (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a recipe-management application through which registered users can capture, organize, discover, and keep their recipes on a subscription basis, and — for students of participating cooking-class providers — a way to connect a class and import its details and recipes.
By accessing or using any part of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.
1. Definitions
- “Member” refers to any registered user of the Services. Where these Terms say “you,” they include Members.
- “Student” refers to a Member who is enrolled in a cooking class offered by a Partner and connects that class to the Services.
- “Partner” refers to a third-party cooking-class provider that integrates with the Services to make class details and recipes available to its enrolled Students.
- “Your Content” refers to any recipes, images, or other materials that you add, upload, or transmit through the Services.
- “Class Content” refers to the class details (schedule, instructor, location or access method, and description) and recipes made available by a Partner through the Services.
- “Shared Recipes” refers to recipes a Partner elects to share for import into a Student’s personal recipe library.
2. Account Terms
- Account Creation. To register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information as prompted by the registration form.
- Age Restriction. You must be at least 16 years old, or older if a higher minimum age is required in your jurisdiction, to create an account and use the Services.
- Account Responsibility. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Feedme.recipes will not be liable for any loss arising from your failure to maintain that security.
- Free Trial. All new accounts begin with a 30-day free trial that includes full functionality of the Services. No payment is collected to start the trial.
- Subscription. After the free trial, continued access to paid functionality requires a paid subscription of $5.99 per month or $49.99 per year (or the then-current price). What remains available without a subscription is described in Section 5.
- Trial Extension for Class Enrollees. If you connect a cooking class during onboarding or the initial trial window, your full-functionality access runs until the later of (a) thirty (30) days after account creation or (b) seven (7) days after that class’s final session.
- Pricing Changes. For paid plans, Feedme.recipes will provide at least thirty (30) days’ notice (by email or in-product notice) of any change to recurring fees. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel within fourteen (14) days of the notice; otherwise, continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
3. Your Content
- Content Types. You can add, scan, import, and organize recipes within your private account.
- Content Restrictions. You agree not to upload or transmit any of Your Content that: infringes the intellectual property or other rights of any third party; is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, invasive of another’s privacy, or otherwise objectionable; contains viruses or other harmful code; or constitutes spam or unauthorized advertising.
- Intellectual Property Rights (Your Content). You retain all ownership rights to Your Content. By uploading or displaying Your Content, you grant Feedme.recipes a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, and modify it (for formatting purposes) solely to operate and improve the Services for you. We do not publish Your Content unless you choose to share it, as described below.
- Sharing by link. If you create a share link for a recipe you wrote, anyone with the link can view that recipe and save a copy to their own account. You can turn the link off at any time; copies already saved stay in those accounts.
- Sharing to the library. If you share a recipe to the feedme your best library, you confirm it is your own and that you have the right to share it. You keep ownership of it. You give Feedme.recipes a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to show it to other members and to let them save their own copy. If you stop sharing, we remove it from the library, but copies other members have already saved stay in their accounts. We may remove or hide any shared recipe at any time, for example if it breaks these Terms or is reported.
- Accuracy of Content. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of Your Content, including any recipes, health advice, or outcomes derived from them. Feedme.recipes does not endorse content posted by its users.
4. Payments
- Subscription Billing. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe at $5.99 per month or $49.99 per year (or the then-current price), charged automatically at the beginning of each billing cycle. If you subscribe during your free trial, your first charge is on the day the trial ends. You may cancel at any time; access to paid features continues until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for any unused portion of a billing period.
- Referrals. If a friend joins with your invite link and becomes a paying monthly subscriber, you each get one free month. Each new account can be referred only once, and you can earn up to 12 free months a year. Rewards have no cash value. We may withhold or cancel rewards in cases of abuse.
- Gifts. Gift purchases (3 months or 1 year of access) are one-time payments through Stripe and come with a single-use gift code. An unredeemed code is valid for one year from purchase. Redeeming a code adds the gift time to the recipient's account; if the recipient already has an active subscription, billing is paused for the length of the gift and resumes automatically afterward. Gift codes have no cash value and cannot be refunded once redeemed. If a code is lost or not yet redeemed, contact us.
- No Liability for Processor. You agree that Feedme.recipes is not liable for any issues arising from the processing of payments by Stripe.
5. Access After the Free Trial
If your free trial ends and you do not subscribe, no content you created is deleted. Access is limited as follows, and is restored immediately upon subscribing:
- Your own recipes (recipes you added, scanned, or imported) remain viewable at any time. Creating, editing, scanning, or importing recipes requires a subscription.
- Class recipes (recipes provided through a cooking class) remain viewable on a read-only basis.
- Discovery recipes (recipes you saved from the Discovery module) are retained on your account but are locked from view until you subscribe.
6. Cooking Classes and Partner Content
- Connecting a Class. The Services let Students connect a cooking class offered by a Partner — either through a secure link provided by the Partner or by entering a class identifier. Once connected, the Services import the associated Class Content into your account.
- Source of Class Content. Class Content and Shared Recipes are provided by Partners, not by Feedme.recipes, and are made available to you for your personal, non-commercial use. Your use of Class Content may also be subject to the Partner’s own terms.
- Retention of Shared Recipes. Shared Recipes imported into your library remain available to you on a read-only basis, including after a class has ended, subject to Section 5.
- No Guarantee. Feedme.recipes does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or completeness of Class Content and is not responsible for the classes themselves, which are operated by the Partners.
- Partner Agreements. Partner integrations are governed by a separate agreement between Feedme.recipes and each Partner.
7. Data Handling and Privacy
- Information We Collect. We collect your email address to operate your account. For paid accounts, we collect payment information via Stripe. You may optionally provide your name, preferred country, photo, and onboarding preferences. Our full practices are described in our Privacy Policy.
- Data Storage and Protection. Your data is stored on our servers and managed database. We implement commercially reasonable security measures; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Service Availability and Data Export
- Service Availability. Feedme.recipes uses commercially reasonable efforts to make the Services available 24/7 but does not warrant uninterrupted access. Unplanned downtime caused by force majeure, third-party provider outages, denial-of-service attacks, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control is excluded.
- Support. Email-based support is available via the “Contact” form on the website. Feedme.recipes does not provide telephone or guaranteed-response support unless expressly agreed in writing.
- Data Export. You may request a full export of your account data — including recipes — in a structured, machine-readable format (JSON or CSV) at any time, free of charge. We will deliver the export within thirty (30) days of a written request.
- Account Closure and Data Deletion. Upon termination of your account by either party, Feedme.recipes will retain your account data for thirty (30) days, during which you may request a final export. After this window, your data will be removed from production systems and from backups within sixty (60) days, except where longer retention is required by law or to enforce these Terms.
9. Third-Party Subprocessors
Feedme.recipes uses the following third-party providers (each, a “Subprocessor”) to deliver the Services. Your use of the Services involves the processing of data by these providers, subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their independent practices.
- Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions.
- IONOS — virtual server hosting and image storage (recipe photos, profile images).
- Neon — managed PostgreSQL database hosting.
- Cloudflare — network tunnel and DNS.
- Resend — transactional and notification email delivery.
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI-assisted recipe parsing.
- Cooking-class Partners — provide class details and Shared Recipes for classes you connect (see Section 6).
We may update the list of Subprocessors from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in accordance with the “Changes to Terms” section.
10. User Conduct and Enforcement
Prohibited Conduct. You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
- Engage in any form of harassment, hate speech, or discrimination.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Services or connected systems, including attempting to access class content for classes in which you are not enrolled.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services or the data contained therein.
- Use the Services for any fraudulent or deceptive purposes.
Consequences of Violations. If you violate these Terms, Feedme.recipes reserves the right to take any action it deems appropriate, including removing Your Content, suspending or terminating your account, blocking your access, or reporting your conduct to law enforcement.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. FEEDME.RECIPES DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL FEEDME.RECIPES, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FEEDME.RECIPES’S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00) OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FEEDME.RECIPES FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT FEEDME.RECIPES IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CLASS CONTENT PROVIDED BY PARTNERS, INCLUDING THE ACCURACY OF RECIPES, ANY HEALTH OR NUTRITIONAL ADVICE, OR THE OUTCOMES OF USING SUCH RECIPES. ANY RELIANCE ON SUCH CONTENT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Feedme.recipes, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from: (a) your use of and access to the Services; (b) your violation of any term of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right; or (d) any claim that Your Content caused damage to a third party.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration shall take place in South Carolina. You agree that you may bring claims against Feedme.recipes only in your individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least thirty (30) days’ notice prior to the new terms taking effect. By continuing to use the Services after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
16. Miscellaneous
- Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by Feedme.recipes on the Services, constitute the entire agreement between you and Feedme.recipes concerning the Services.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be severable and shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
- No Waiver. Feedme.recipes’s failure to assert any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without Feedme.recipes’s prior written consent. Feedme.recipes may freely assign or transfer these Terms without restriction.
- Contact. Questions about these Terms may be sent to [email protected].
